I have been thinking for a while about ordering the Jeff Galloway marathon training software made by PC Coach. I finally broke down this morning and ordered it. I believe it is compatible with my Polar RS200sd heart rate monitor which will be cool. And since I am already taking walking breaks during my running, it might be nice to actually have more information on how often I should be taking them. Currently, I am following a training plan from a Hal Higdon book, and it seems to be working pretty well. I am running 5 days a week. But in the back of the book First Marathons, there was a tip by Jeff Galloway, where he talked about running only 3 days a week. That might be interesting to try to keep from getting burned out.
I hope it doesn’t take too long to come. It might be useful in my training for the Las Vegas Marathon. After I get a chance to try the software for a while, I will post a review.
