		<description>Thanks for the advise. The race is in the Adirondacks. My wife would have to hike in 16.3 miles to meet me at the halfway mark. And then hike the 16.3 miles back out again. She is not up to doing anything like that. :)

If there were crossroads or something, I could have her there, or hide bottles. But no. There is the start, and the end, and nothing but 32.6 miles of trail in between.</description>

I don't know where your race is, but when i run long distances, i ask my wife to meet me somewhere in the middle and pass me full bottles of water/gatorade.
The other trick that i have done in the past is go the night before and "stash" full bottles along the route.  Althought this strategy is risky, the bottles have never yet been stolen.
